In the midst of a difficult adolescence, young teen Tomas has developed a relentless obsession with the moon. He shirks his studies in favour of pouring over astronomical textbooks and staring out the window through his telescope, wishfully planning an escape from his painful reality. Triggered by his unrequited love for a neighbour he spies through his telescope, as well as school pressures, a chaotic family and his ongoing struggle with early childhood trauma, Tomas begins to meticulously plan a trip to the moon; his one source of stability.
