Accompanying the UK & Ireland release of Mariano Llinás’ most recent film, La Flor, the Argentinian director leads a masterclass, offering an in-depth exploration of a filmmaking journey which took ten years to complete.
In the spirit of El Pampero Cine, the Argentinian film production company co-founded by Llinás in 2002, the construction of La Flor embraces radical experimentation and innovation.
During this masterclass, Llinás will discuss his career, influences and filmmaking process, in relation to his previous films, which include Extraordinary Stories (2008), Tres fábulas de Villa Ocampo (2011), La más bella niña (2004) and Balnearios (2002), none of which were released in the UK.
This masterclass will be hosted by Professor Maria Delgado, critic, curator, and Director of Research at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
