Ali Jaberansari’s debut feature is a triptych of stories about love and yearning in Tehran.
Mina is a secretary in an up-market beauty clinic who lacks confidence in her appearance. Leading a double life, she seduces male clientele over the phone, only to stand them up when they arrive to meet her on dates.
Hessam is a retired bodybuilder who trains affluent older men. Disenchanted with his work, he suddenly finds a dose of excitement in his life when he comes across a fascinating younger client.
Meanwhile, Vahid is a funeral singer who is convinced to try a new career as a wedding singer after his fiancée breaks up with him.
Playing on the theme of unrequited love, these playfully observed stories reflect on the fleeting nature of happiness.
