The Best of Blondie
Institute of Contemporary Arts
The Best of Blondie, USA, 1981, 48 min.

In 1981, Blondie were the first band to commercially release a VHS mega-compilation of all their music videos to date, loosely tied together by the story of a New York cabbie. Appraising their late 70s and early 80s video aesthetic, this screening presents the entire video from original VHS.

The Best of Blondie visually traverses the band’s big hits, early punk tracks and later experiments with the early hip hop scene. This screening is followed by a panel discussion.
