Spanish director Carmen Bellas’ debut feature is an imagined conversation between the film’s narrator and the neighbourhood of San Cristóbal on the outskirts of Madrid. This unique, evocative depiction of a place progressively abandons a classic documentary structure to become a first-person essay.
