Writers Ifeanyi Awachie, Victoria Adukwei Bulley, Leo Hermitt, Selina Nwulu and Kareem Reid gather to share newly commissioned poems created in response to Toni Morrison’s writing.
This night of readings and performances celebrates Morrison’s relationships with artists working in different narrative forms and from different diasporic contexts. The poems presented by this group of young, London-based writers show the resonance of Morrison’s writing on their work, a shared sensitivity towards their subjects and each artist’s distinctive voice.
The readings and performances are followed by a Q&A moderated by Ifeanyi Awachie, ICA Assistant Curator.
