Tanoa Sasraku: Morale Patch

Sports Banger joins Tanoa Sasraku for a conversation on artist’s books, moderated by ICA Exhibitions Curator Andrea Nitsche-Krupp, to celebrate the launch of Sasraku's new ICA publication.

The publication features a conversation between Sasraku and artist Fiona Banner, and texts by Susan Schuppli, Chiorstaidh Black, Pip Laurenson and Libby Ireland, alongside images of works in the exhibition.

The talk will explore both the making of this publication as well as those published by Sports Banger, delving into the collaborative processes between artists and publishers. Sasraku and Sports Banger will discuss how they distil their diverse practices creating images, objects, garments, staging exhibitions, fashion shows and ceremonies into printed matter, while treating publications as works in and of themselves.

The event will conclude with an audience Q&A. Copies of the publication, together with exclusive pieces created by Sports Banger in collaboration with Sasraku, will be available at the ICA Bookstore.
