Six dancers reside on a demilitarised industrial site for an ecological investigation across humanity and mental health. Their choreography and bodies embrace the consciousness of plants, their presence a stark contrast to the architecture that surrounds them.
Researcher and psychiatrist Birgit Bundesen provides the essayistic voiceover, further enhancing a journey that explores questions of science, spirituality, healing, labour, depression and trauma. Ndiritu’s non-rational, shamanistic practice into alternatives for humanity translates seamlessly into cutting-edge cinema. This first feature-length work demonstrates her distinctive vision and is augmented by the soundtrack from artist and musician GAIKA.

MRI scans, percussive rhythms, objects from the artist’s apartment and bees’ social evolution collide in this both private and public exploration of health and decay.
