UK PREMIERE The Plagiarists + online Q&A

The Plagiarists, dir. Peter Parlow, USA 2019, 74 min, English

Anna (Lucy Kaminsky), a struggling writer, and Tyler (Eamon Monaghan), an ambitious but stubborn filmmaker, are stranded in an unknown town during a snowstorm. When the friendly Chip (William Michael Payne) offers to let them crash at his house, the following encounter will upend their lives – just not now.

Written, produced, and filmed by visual artists James Kienitz Wilkins and Robin Schavoir, The Plagiarists is a formally radical confrontation with identity, representation, the hypocrisies of the creative class, and the fallacy of originality.

This screening will feature an introduction from season curator Chris Cassingham, and a post-screening virtual Q&A with Kienitz Wilkins and Schavoir.
