Cécile Ducrocq’s female-led debut feature offers a touching and nuanced portrait of an independent woman and confident sex worker, played by the brilliant Laure Calamy.
Marie has been a sex worker for 20 years. She has her own workplace, her regulars, independence and freedom. When her 17-year-old son’s tuition money becomes unaffordable, she starts to take increasingly desperate measures to ensure his future.
