The ICA presents the UK premiere of Hideous, a collaboration between Oliver Sim – singer and bassist of The xx – and filmmaker Yann Gonzalez (You & The Night, Knife + Heart).
Exploring life growing up as a queer boy with HIV, Hideous features appearances from singer Jimmy Somerville, drag queen Bimini and Sim’s bandmate Jamie xx. Sim and Gonzalez will in conversation at the ICA following tonight’s one-off screening.
Hideous is available on MUBI from 8 September and Sim’s upcoming debut album Hideous Bastard will be released via Young on 9 September.
