ICA is closed from the 30 May – 3 June inclusive.
In this studio workshop, filmmaker Matías Piñeiro guides us through an interactive exploration of his filmmaking process, as he shapes and crafts his new film in real time. Bringing together live performance, the writings of Cesare Pavese, and footage from his new film, this workshop offers endless insights into Piñeiro’s extensive body of work and provides a rare opportunity to participate in the creative process of one of contemporary cinema’s most important filmmakers.
Hosted by season curator Daniel Turner, this workshop will offer an in-depth and unique exploration of the formal, economic, and aesthetic choices that inform Piñeiro’s work.
