Three Japanese people wearing aprons stare out into the sky, eating lunch, the ocean behind them

Forty-nine-year-old Fumi (Satomi Kobayashi) lives in a small seaside town located on the coast of the beautiful Izu Peninsula. She spends her time relaxing with her like-minded coworkers and hanging out with her younger best friend, a coworker’s son who is obsessed with astronomy. Fumi holds sorrow close to her, hinting at the reasons she lives alone. Fumi sees a man about her age (Yutaka Matsushige) playing a tune using a leaf as an instrument. Both bearing their own scars, the two gradually become attached to each other. Fumi is hit by a meteorite – a rare occurrence – and sees this as a sign of good luck. She takes on the pursuit of new happiness.

Starring Satomi Kobayashi, who delivers the same warmth she showed in Kamome Diner, this delicate yet charming film will gently cheer up anyone who currently has their life on hold.
