Yasmin Fedda's Ayouni chronicles the emotional quest of Noura and Machi seeking answers about their loved ones – Bassel Safadi and Paolo Dall'Oglio, who are among over 100,000 forcibly disappeared in Syria. Over six years and multiple countries, the film gives faces to the missing, breaking through silence and limbo with hope and resilience. It reveals a deeply personal story that reflects a universal struggle for justice, memory and visibility amid overwhelming absence.

This film contains themes of enforced disappearance, loss, trauma and political violence.
