Book tickets

Exploring the delicate and often fraught relationship between the individual and the collective, the international films in this programme examine the tensions between personal desire and social expectation, revealing how communities navigate defiance, resistance, and exclusion as points of reflection.

Investigating the legacy of Coppola’s Apocalypse Now on a Vietnamese family and their memories of war in We Were the Scenery (Non-fiction Jury Award winner at Sundance). Peeking into the painfully intimate dynamics within the love lives of ghosts in Arguments in Favor of Love by Portuguese visual artist and filmmaker Gabriel Abrantes (Diamantino). And presenting brand new work from past LSFF winners Julia Mellen (Yung Lean Please Be My Yung Love) and Dorian Jespers (Sun Dog).
