A trip through the many currents of existence, this programme honours memory, transformation, and hope, a quiet celebration of all that was, all that is, and all that could yet become.

The absence of French Lebanese actress Manal Issa (The Swimmers) evokes memories and thoughts of global conflict in new work from Elizabeth Subrin (Maria Schneider 1983). Personal and public archival footage help to make sense of, and re-evaluate a past life – specifically one that was featured on the 2000’s Reality TV show Road Wars. And new work from lo-fi stop motion artist, and a previous core member of Exploding Cinema, Paul Tarragó (The Badger Series) investigates the legacy of a Victorian magician.

The attending filmmakers will join us for a Q&A following the screening.
