The Age of Mistrust?

This screening is part of the British Academy’s public event season, ‘The Age of Mistrust?’

Political systems are broken, institutions are failing, the internet has amplified misinformation, and AI appears to deceive us more easily every day. Are we living in an Age of Mistrust? And what can we do about it? In this themed public events season from the British Academy, we explore how the humanities and social sciences can help us confront some of the biggest quandaries of our time; identifying how we can recognise and foster truth in society and learning lessons from the past to build a better future.
Restored by the Academy Film Archive in association with Paramount Pictures and The Film Foundation. Restoration funding provided by The Material World Charitable Foundation, Righteous Persons Foundation, and The Film Foundation.
