Kaoru and Anzu are two misfit teenagers who come together over a summer to investigate a mysterious place that has appeared in their rural town. Discovering that it is the mythical Urashima Tunnel, where time and space is meaningless and your heart’s desires are fulfilled – but these dreams come true at a cost. Together they must decide what they truly want and whether it is worth paying the price.
Based on the award-winning novel by Mei Hachimoku and inspired by Japanese legends, Tomohisa Taguchi’s elegant love story received the Paul Grimault Award at the Annecy Festival 2023.
