Do.omyoga presents Winter Sun: Inner Sun Sound Immersion
Institute of Contemporary Arts
A ring of black shadowy circles surrounding a sun, etched or burned onto wood

Join Do.omyoga for an evening of sound immersion and introspection in the stillness of winter.

As the sun sits low in the winter sky and we experience greater darkness on these winter nights we harness the power of the sun within, inner strength and the light in ourselves by turning and tuning in. The Sun is the centre of our solar system at the heart of existence and the psychological symbol of the deepest essence of ourselves: The Spirit. Intertwining physical and energetic hibernation, winter and the sound invites us to connect with our internal realms, exploring the depths of our being and latent potential.

Sound meditation is a unique and immersive practice that harnesses the power of sound to guide you into a state of deep relaxation and at the same time heightened awareness. Intentional listening promotes a spontaneous meditative state that leads to relaxation of the bodymind, stress reduction, inner connection and inspiration. Do.omyoga will present an electronic drone soundscape working with the natural tone of the Sun's frequencies to compliment the playing of the physical gongs. We will tune to the Sun for an extra-sensory, extra-sonic grounding session beginning with guided meditation and breathwork. The session ends in integration, letting the vibrations bathe over you permeating every cell of your being bringing clarity and balance to your being to carry you into spring.

Sealing the practice, curator Susanna Davies-Crook will lead a hypnotic visualisation through portals and doorways of the self, following the inner light of the mind’s eye in these dark months.
Do.omyoga is an immersive exploration of the self through sound. Movement and Meditation to MUSIC. The bringing together of music and movement with stillness. Kamellia Sara, the creative force behind  Do.omyoga plays with her love of music and intertwines a diverse mix of genres, Drone, Doom, Electronic, Ambient, Psychedelic, vibes into a seamless tapestry of sonic experiences. Through profound practices of deep listening, yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation, the aim is to cultivate and activate self-awareness and inner connection in others. Merging into the mystery of sound, finding the underlying link that connects all sounds and beings together in harmony, resonance, peace, OM

Kamellia founded and teaches Do.omyoga. An Artist born of Egyptian and Irish nationality and descent, emerged into this world to facilitate, spread and render practical the powerful energy of her lineage's Alchemy. Intense 're-awakening' exaggerated through Yoga practice saw her travel to India to deepen her knowledge and understanding of this ancient practice of 'self actualisation' where she was initiated into the 8 limbed path of Ashtanga yoga. A year later she studied sound healing with Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux. She has since completed her 500 HR certification with Stewart Gilchrist in London. She plays with her love of and extensive collection of music and sensibility, curating and creating music, continuing to explore and evolve with others the development of self awareness through SOUND, SILENCE AND SURRENDER. Moving into inspiration, creation, peace, healing the bodymind and Spirit.
