Berlin's CTM Festival returns to the ICA, bringing together artists working across experimental composition and electronics, punk and performance. From intricate new works and A/V weirdings to shattered club mutations, the programme traces a range of approaches to contemporary sound.
For this fourth iteration, the ongoing partnership between CTM Festival and ICA deepens our explorations into the friction and fusion of live sound, art and bodily performance. The collaborative programme features artists who reject static categories, reinforcing our shared dedication to nurturing radical creative dialogues. September 24th features Tyondai Braxton’s complex orchestral electronics and the community-driven synth collaboration between Rian Treanor and the Rotherham Sight & Sound initiative. Our September 25th night showcases mutation through Cyst's digital beats, Alpha Maid's indie-punk and dub, and Europa's audio-visual transit work.

CTM Festival for Adventurous Music & Art connects multi-perspective experiences, critical reflection, and collaborative learning via a yearly festival and continuous collaborative projects, publications, commissions, concerts, club nights, and more. For over 25 years, CTM has been highlighting new strains of pop and fringe cultures that venture through the weird, the challenging, the cathartic, the esoteric, the contagious, and the ecstatic – simultaneously exploring sonic histories, contexts, and political and technological entanglements. Though international in its approach, CTM remains deeply rooted in and committed to Berlin’s DIY and club scenes, from which it emerged in 1999.
