lovemusic – the acclaimed Strasbourg-based music group – join with experimental composer-performers Jennifer Walshe and Neil Luck (aka WACK) for two UK premieres exploring radical experimental performance, unpredictable choices, and one of Britain's most exalted movie directors.
lovemusic, known for their courageous explorations of new configurations of collaborative performance, are joined by WACK for a live collage in the round. Across their collaborative 45-minute new work, they’ll move between composed material, spoken text, visual elements and real-time decision making, creating a maximalist coming together of multilingual voices, acoustic instruments, live electronics, esoteric invocations, telepathic madrigals, dense noise and deep relaxation tapes.
The gig will also feature a new piece by Neil Luck: an epic fan-fiction work that cinematically deconstructs the identity of acclaimed British film director Christopher Nolan.

Kiran Leonard's unique and ambitious body of work spans more than a decade of frenetic noise rock, ornate avant-folk, DIY no-fi, and everything in between. First becoming known as a teenager for his unpredictable and home-recorded chamber-prog epics such as Bowler Hat Soup (2013) and Grapefruit (2016), his more recent work has crystallised a vast aesthetic scope into a focused and singular voice, placing a greater emphasis on the directness of song and stream-of-consciousness poetics. 2024's Real Home brings a newfound streak of candid and clear-cut melodicism to the elaborate, formalist qualities of his writing and arranging. Completed after half a decade of songs without choruses, the album is the culmination of years operating in the UK's independent and experimental music circuits as one of its best-kept secrets. Most recently, he has performed in the duo Or Sobre Blau with Andreu G. Serra (which released its sophomore record Making Friends on STROOM), and contributed string arrangements to My New Band Believe's self-titled debut album.

Stage
- The Stage has step free access via The Mall entrance and lift. The lift in the Stage is self-controlled with hand control, with two buttons for up and down (max weight 300kg). It is without sides and includes a vertical pole to hold on to. It operates quietly and will not disrupt the performance. Our Public Advisors can also assist.
