The selection of six non-/fiction diary films, capture the moment everyday life is transformed into a poem - and the mundane is made to become sacred.
The selection of six non-/fiction diary films capture the moment everyday life is transformed into a poem. As the camera eye caringly traces the contours of both the inner and outer landscapes, the mundane is here made to become sacred. Through the observation of a fleeting encounter with someone from the time already long gone, a ritualistic making of a family dish or a cab ride through the darkened streets of an empty metropolis, we are invited to come closer and listen more carefully, so we can catch a glimpse of a poem that is only briefly ours.
Kateh Gojeh Farangi, dir. Armon Mahdavi, USA 2024, 10mins
Perfect Night, dir. Nuanqi Chen, China 2024, 5mins
Exit Through The Cuckoo's Nest, dir. Nikola Ilić, Switzerland 2024, 19mins
I Would've Been Happy, dir. Jordan Wong, USA 2023, 9mins
Tell me a poem, dir. Ana Gurdiş / Elena Chirila, Romania 2024, 12mins
Slimane, dir. Carlos Pereira, Germany 2023, 19mins
