Gena is a young activist who wields her weapon – herself – proudly. From the streets of her Russian town to the isles of a local supermarket, Gena dresses in otherworldly homemade creations, skewing gender binaries to protest for LGBTQIA+ rights. Winner of the Next:Wave Award at Denmark’s CPH:DOX, this is an urgent and uncompromising portrait of performance as a form of resistance.
