Bio
Effects is a journal of art, poetry and essays. It is devoted to thinking about aesthetic effects, their social and philosophical histories and contemporary lives. Effects was founded in 2018 by Christopher Page and Orlando Reade and is currently edited by Clementine Keith-Roach, Lakshmi Luthra, Christopher Page, Matt Rickard, Jeffrey Stuker, Florence Uniacke and Jan Tumlir.
Each issue of Effects gathers materials, visual and textual, on a topic that is at once aesthetic and philosophical. The first issue looked at the interplay of surface and structure, the second scrutinised opacity and radiance, the third focused on mimicry, and the latest issue - to be launched at GLUE - will orbit around holes.
