The first iteration of PULSE showcases a site-responsive performance by Biogal, exploring the collision of queer identity, global crisis, and institutional complicity through protest and pop-fuelled defiance.

A site-responsive live-art assemblage, I Feel Very Attacked! By Biogal critically explores the convergence of queer identity politics and international power structures within contemporary art spaces. In a time of ongoing genocides, ecological collapse, and a national assault on the lives of trans people, the work turns inward - probing institutional and individual complicity in the cultural consumption of crisis. It asks: how could art play its part in the struggle for freedom, and why now does it feel like it's failing us?

I Feel Very Attacked! is part of PULSE, a platform for new collaborative initiatives and emerging interdisciplinary practices.

"Loud and f**king clear y’all, I got it! I got it from you, I got it from you, I am annoying, I am fake, I’m not who I’m being, I’m pretending to be someone I'm not [...] well how am I supposed to feel in this moment? [...] I feel very attacked!" – Laganja Estranja, 2014

"Red alert! Red alert! It's a catastrophe, but don't worry, don't panic. Ain't nothin' goin' on but history, yeah, but it's alright, don't panic. And the music keeps on playing on and on" – Basement Jaxx,1999
