Institute of Contemporary Arts
Floating, dir. Richard Heslop, UK 1992, 39 minutes

Book tickets

This special programme brings together four shorts from between 1984 - 1992 by music video director Richard Heslop with an intro from archivist Nicole Atkinson.

Programme
The Conversation
Stop-motion experimental short where two men communicate with one another, talk on the telephone, smoke cigarettes, and contort themselves.

Floating
Disturbed by visions of a labyrinthine London about to be consumed by water, a lonely father begins to destroy his family’s tower block flat in order to make room for an unlikely refuge in their front room.

Language
Scratch video piece by Richard Heslop for the band 23 Skidoo.

Procar
Death on the motorway. The car wouldn’t start and blood is thicker than petrol. The victim was on the road again and moving after all. If you can’t fuck on the back seat, at least you can eat there. And they were hungry.
