A strange condition sweeps the world, as people begin sprouting wings, scales and tentacles. Meanwhile, a father and son travel south to confront their own trauma. In the long-awaited follow-up to his debut Les Combattants, writer-director Cailley offers a visionary flight of imagination, with a dazzlingly poetic use of effects, and superb performances from Romain Duris (The Beat That My Heart Skipped) and Paul Kircher (Winter Boy).
