Unsound London: How to (Not) Be Heard #2 w/ Steve Goodman & Angus Carlyle
Institute of Contemporary Arts
Book tickets

This event revolves around Angus Carlyle’s forthcoming book Phantom Lure and Steve Goodman’s forthcoming Notes on the Third Ear, both due to be published together as a split book by Urbanomic Press in 2027.

The presentations will engage a complex of ideas relating to sonic warfare, technologically augmented perception, and the strategic and tactical configurations of noise, silence, and deception. A discussion following the presentations will consider aesthetic responses to these themes, surveying how artists and musicians channel, rework and deweaponize the toxic energies of the war machine in their work.

This event follows How to (Not) Be Heard #1, which took place at e-flux during Unsound New York and featured Goodman and Bogna Konior.
