3x Lynch: Inland Empire (4K Restoration)
Institute of Contemporary Arts
An actress sits on a red chair, back to the camera. She's watching people dance in a bright white light
Inland Empire, dir. David Lynch, USA 2006, 180 min., English, 15.

David Lynch’s nightmarish vision of an actress losing her grip on reality is as striking as ever in this director-approved restoration. Featuring a revelatory performance from Laura Dern as an actress who starts to adopt the persona of her character in a film, Inland Empire is a strange and terrifying descent into the unknown.

To celebrate the release of the brand new 4K restoration of David Lynch’s Inland Empire, the ICA is presenting a trio of Lynch’s most striking visions. Beginning with the labyrinthine nightmare of Inland Empire and journeying back to the descending mysteries of Lost Highway and the haunting black and white images of Eraserhead.
