Former theatre director Chu Sieon, now working as a bookshop owner, arrives at a university to direct a short theatre piece at the invitation of his niece, Jeonim, an artist and teacher whom he hasn’t seen in 10 years.

Featuring typically magnetic performances from Kim Minhee and Kwon Haehyo, By the Stream is an autumnal tale of desire, self-expression and the inescapable nature of the past.
