A young woman tells us, in the films opening scene, that she is writing a script and from there three stories about three different French women, all played by Isabelle Huppert, unfold.

Centred upon these various womens visit to a small Korean resort town, Hong constructs a delightful situational comedy that doubles as a complex and slippery examination of relationship dynamics, miscommunication and ultimately performance.
