My Name is Alfred Hitchcock
Institute of Contemporary Arts
A portrait of Alfred Hitchcock, dressed in a suit, sitting side on, staring down the lens
My Name is Alfred Hitchcock, dir. Mark Cousins, UK 2022, 120 min., English, 15.

A hundred years on from his first feature film, Mark Cousins (The Story of Film, I Am Belfast) takes us on a journey into the life of Alfred Hitchcock. An odyssey through his vast career – vivid silent films, his playful and intense golden period of the ’50s and ’60s and grittier later work through the thoughts and voice of the man himself. A film that introduces Hitchcock to new audiences, and through Cousins’ insightful and impish style, allows those who are well-versed in his work to enjoy the filmmaker from a new perspective.
