Shot across two decades, Flavia Mastrella and Antonio Rezza’s cult classic in the making follows an Italian hitman on his quest for his ideal woman.
Samp (Mastrella) is a pink-jacketed professional hitman, and his latest targets are highly unlikely –antique collectors, children, pensioners. After he bumps off his own mother, he enjoys or endures a string of unlikely encounters in his native Puglia: musicians and naturalists, itinerant Scotsmen and masked prophets. He falls in love with a woman… and another. But when nothing comes of it, will Samp return to the dark arts to make his living? From the absurdist storyline to the maniacal look and feel, Mastrella and Rezza have conjured a perfectly and peculiarly surreal feature.
