Pippo Delbono’s experimental theatre practice is like a sacred ritual, binding those who act to those who watch in a poetic blend of images, original writing, music and dance. The company of the same name was founded in the early 1980s and is still active today. Here Delbono shares a selection of his remarkable works with us.

A few of my friends have asked that I recommend books to read, so I’ve started a list of my favourite reads that were published in 2019. Today’s contribution is a polyvocal ‘fusion fiction’ novel that won the Man Booker Prize and follows the interconnected lives of 12 characters, primarily black British womxn, of different ages, sexualities, classes and cultural backgrounds. Sonic Terrains is a grant of £3000 hosted by Somerset House Studios. It invites applications from sound artists interested in exploring spatial sound in a new online development programme which will take place from May to August 2020.
