Optimism 101

Poet James Massiah performs Optimism 101, a live reading of the 101 poems from his new collection which reflects on stoicism, materialism, hedonism and happiness. This durational performance runs for around 90 minutes, and audience members are invited to relax in the space and read or write on their phones for its duration.  
This performance features nudity.
James Massiah is a poet and DJ from South London whose work explores ideas about sexuality, mortality and ethics through performance, writing and visual media. His latest project Euthanasia Party/Twenty Seven is a series of poems about fate, sex, life and death from the perspective of a young determinist.
