TRANSPHORIA is an experimental theatre piece retelling the story of transgender gods, gender non-conforming goddesses and intersex deities throughout history.

The new performance piece by Lewis G. Burton uses performance art and underground club culture to unravel the trials and tribulations of self-discovery. The piece speaks to the shame and dehumanisation often experienced by the transgender community, while also celebrating trans joy, gender euphoria and the power of solidarity. TRANSPHORIA creates new mythologies, as a response to the loss of trans and gender-non conforming histories in an attempt to build on archives that were once lost.
