A retro-furtuirst Tokyo has become a giant building site in the run-up to the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of science outreach program, this captivating short film is a fictionalised documentation of the Inami Jizai Body Project, led by Dr. Masahiko Inami. The project is an academic research initiative exploring the potential of body augmentation, where humans can merge with robots and AI while maintaining a sense of self-agency in both physical and virtual spaces.
Working with a robot integrated with him, a boy tries to make a new body part to expand the limits of human abilities. The boy is communicating with two other kids simultaneously via the specially made glasses. Their visions reflect the real world and also the cyber world. Everything seems connected to each other, but…
