ICA is closed from the 30 May – 3 June inclusive.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. ICA website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations:
We have checked our site using a keyboard and the webaim tool. It is in our roadmap to improve the accessibility, however, there are certain things that don't meet WCAG 2.2 criteria at present.
We are aware of the following issues:
• Missing alternative text
• Missing and empty form labels in some places
• Page language not defined
• Colour contrast errors in some places
• Repetitive tabbing, as there are no skip links
• Lack of focus on certain links
We have introduced two features to our website to help with accessibility issues we may not have noticed:
• A ‘night mode’, which provides high contrast of colours, text and links, and is easier on the eyes at night. Switch to night mode by clicking the sun/moon icon in the top-left of any page.
• Typography menu: To make the site easier to read, you can use the typography menu to change the size, font, line height and spacing of words, as well as other features. Use these tools with the ‘A’ icon in the top-left of any page.
