For this Listening Session, DJ Tash LC shares sounds from label Club Yeke.
Club Yeke is a London based label, and club night & community. They explore and platform emerging global club sounds with a focus on representing exciting letfield music of black origin. Club Yeke is about bringing together the underground in a brand new way - joining the familiarities of techno, bass, house and club with music from the margins of Kuduro, Gqom, Rebenta, Brime and more.
London-based Tash LC has established herself as an assured DJ, host and presenter across both radio and club mediums. Tash finds herself at home on the airwaves with residencies on Kiss FM, Worldwide FM and NTS Radio, balancing highly palatable afro-jazz and highlife broadcasts with more up-tempo meetings of Kuduro, Gqom, and esoteric club sounds. With the backing of some of dance music’s most influential institutions and an effortless ability to command a dance floor, Tash is quickly becoming one of the UK’s most exciting talents.
