Institute of Contemporary Arts
D is for Distance, dir. Christopher Petit and Emma Matthews, Finland 2025, 88 mins, 18

Emma Matthew’s and Christopher Petit’s (Radio On) unique and tender new film is a meditation on cinema, the NHS and family relationships. D is for Distance tells the story of the filmmakers’ son Louis, and his debilitating epilepsy, through an extraordinary archive of personal footage and Jodhi May’s narration.
