Celebrating its 15th year, London Indian Film Festival showcases Indian and South Asian premieres, classic movies and emerging filmmakers’ shorts.

The ICA is delighted to partner with the London Indian Film Festival for the very first time presenting four screenings including the European Premiere of Mithya.

New Brit-Asian Shorts + Q&A
LIFF is delighted to be showcasing the exciting work of the next generation of British Asian writers and directors with this sparkling selection of short films.

Mithya
Mithun, an impressionable eleven-year-old boy struggling to come to terms with the loss of his parents, is sent back to his idyllic home village to live with his estranged family. Sumanth Bhat’s debut feature is a delicate coming-of-age tale exploring themes of loss and acceptance.

Parama - A Journey with Aparna Sen + Q&A
A documentary into the life of West Bengal’s greatest and most beloved woman director - Aparna Sen.

Satyajit Ray Short Film Competition + Q&A
The festival’s internationally-renowned competition selects emerging filmmakers’ works from South Asia and around the world. All the selected films are, in different ways, felt to enshrine the legendary director Satyajit Ray’s humanist vision and subtlety of story and eye.
