The Films of Ian Pons Jewell
Institute of Contemporary Arts

Ian Pons Jewell is a commercial and music director from London. His work has been recognized at events as the UKVMAS, the MOBO Awards, Camerimage Festival, BRIT Awards, International Music Video Awards and is an alumni of the London Short Film Festival.

His surreal directing style evident in his music videos and short films has translated into commercials that are equally as strange for brands ranging from Nike and Audi to Apple and Xbox. This uncompromising, honest approach to creativity hasn’t made things easy. The difficult side of having a specific vision is to convince people that it’s a vision worth exploring and that takes time.

This screening, which includes music videos for Kwes, Tinie Tempah, Beardyman, and Paolo Nutini alongside Ian's short films, will give an audience a chance to see that uncompromising vision in action, seen in work that may offend some, but is original and sometimes jaw dropping.

Ian will be in conversation following the screening with Jason Stone from David Reviews.
