Goodness x Against Interpretation Club
Courtesy brings her Against Interpretation Club to the ICA — part group show, part club night —where musicians, DJs, and contemporary artists explore performance, music and sound.
For this iteration, Against Interpretation Club commissioned a performance by Welsh artist Angharad Williams and a text written and performed by artist Josephine Pryde, both currently living and working in Berlin. Musician Lolina will play a concert as well as the German dream-rock band Roomer.
Roomer recently released their debut album Leaving It All to Chance, with lead singer song writer Ronja Schößler, and band members Ludwig Wandinger from Caterina Barbieri’s light-years label, and Luka Aron who is currently participating in the La Biennale di Venezia, Biennale Musica 2025.
The performances and concerts are accompanied by DJ sets by Courtesy and a DJ crew assembled by the London based art gallery Galerina. An edition of custom-made fans by German artist Hanna Stiegeler will be sold for the occasion.
Against Interpretation Club is curated by the Danish artist Courtesy and is an ongoing event series which most recently was held at Schinkel Pavillon and OHM in Berlin. The event at ICA is organised in collaboration with London’s experimental club music promoter Goodness.
