To celebrate the making of the film and album Last Exit on Bethnal, join us for a one off club night, for the preview screening, performers and DJs. Director and photographer Lydia Garnett and underground DJ and composer Hannah Holland have collaborated on a short music film, a poetic, surreal exploration of dyke power and sexuality set in a fantasy underworld to mark the release of Hannah Holland’s next album.
Through their work Lydia Garnett seeks out subculture, community and connection, crafting intimate visual storytelling that is rooted in a collision of ritual, collectivity and play.
Hannah Holland has played a pivotal role in London's alternative and queer London club scene since the mid-noughties. As well as working recently with filmmaker Bruce LaBruce and remixing the likes of Goldfrapp, Kylie Minogue and Planningtorock. The cultural melting pot of London, community, musical exploration and the transcendent potential of dancefloor have always been her biggest inspiration.
