Humanities is a collaborative performance by artists Laxlan Petras, Yasmin Saleh, and Amber Fasquelle. The piece combines opera with spatial installation elements.

Saleh performs solo wearing an amplified suit of mirrors, while Petras and Fasquelle accompany her as deities at her shoulder. This opera includes both trained and untrained voices blurring and working through improvisation.

Performed in-the-round, the work presents scenes of birth, death, and resurrection. The artists create a sonic metropolis using minimal staging that references street scenes with all their emotional interdependence and political urgency.
