Kiiōtō + Maria Chiara Argiró
Institute of Contemporary Arts

Kiiōtō is the new project from Mercury-nominated, founder member of Lamb vocalist Lou Rhodes and multiplatinum songwriter and pianist, Rohan Heath. Their debut album As Dust We Rise out on 12th July via Nude Records is both richly instinctive and inquisitive, infused with a transporting spirit of ongoing exploration and discovery.

Maria Chiara Argiró has been a central figure in the UK jazz, classical and electronic worlds since she moved to London from Rome over a decade ago. A skilled pianist since childhood, she’s collaborated with everyone from These New Puritans to Jono McCleery to Jamie Leeming alongside output with Moonfish and she can count the likes of Four Tet and Gilles Peterson as fans, with the latter describing her music as “absolutely crazy good”. In April, Argirò released her latest album Closer, the natural evolutionary by-product of a highly skilled, nuanced and ambitious artist who is able to trust their intuition to create... more.

Between the Lines is an event series in London which spotlights a genre-crossing selection of adventurous music.

Previously Between the Lines has taken place in venues such as Corsica Studios, Cafe OTO and the ICA and has featured the likes of Coby Sey, Beatrice Dillon, Loraine James, Nabihah Iqbal, Erased Tapes and more.
This event is supported by Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Londra
