The RA Exchange is a weekly podcast series interviewing the artists, labels, promoters and other key players shaping the electronic music landscape. In this very special live edition, producer, DJ, lecturer and CDR founder Tony Nwachukwu sits down with one of underground music’s most respected artists: Theo Parrish.
Born in Chicago, and now based in Detroit, Parrish began DJing at 13 in 1986. As well as running record label Sound Signature and forming part of Detroit musical supergroup 3 Chairs, he is particularly revered for his DJ sets, which span disco, house, techno, jazz and everything in-between.
On Saturday, December 7th, Parrish joins RA at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, ahead of his eight-hour set at fabric the following day. The doors will open at 11 AM, with the talk taking place at 12:30 PM. ICA's cafe area will be open throughout this time.
