Rough Trade presents an outstore album launch show from Sorry at ICA.
This unique event celebrates the release of their new album COSPLAY, released via Domino on November 7th.
Composed of best friends and co-conspirators Asha and Louis, joined by drummer Lincoln Barrett, multi-instrumentalist Campbell Baum, and Marco Pini on electronics, Sorry have been making music together since their teens. Emerging from Brixton’s Windmill scene, where they played alongside Shame, Goat Girl and Black Midi, Sorry have created their own distinctive musical world - one that draws together a shared passion for lo-fi sounds of grunge, trap, and shoegaze.
“We died when we started writing this album,” say Sorry, on COSPLAY, their third studio album. But if Sorry did, indeed, die before a note had been recorded, before a single word had even been jotted down, who the hell are this bunch now masquerading as Sorry? Who has donned the Sorry outfits so convincingly? Who is it that has recorded COSPLAY, this album that first meticulously erases and then extravagantly redraws the perimeters of what a contemporary rock’n’roll band can achieve? Welcome to the world of COSPLAY, where anyone can be anyone, past or present, real or imaginary, dead or alive.
General Admission tickets do NOT come with an album.
Please note this is an album release show so performances are usually around 45min.
