In the Round: Titanic + Stefan Wesolowski
Institute of Contemporary Arts

As part of a special series of In the Round shows this October, we're excited to present Titanic, who will perform live using the venue's 360° spatial soundsystem, d&b Soundscape.

Titanic is a collaborative project by Venezuelan guitarist I la Católica (Héctor Tosta) and Guatemalan cellist Mabe Fratti. The music is a mixture of chamber-jazz, art-pop, and in some songs a little of what's called ‘post-minimalism’ portraying some sort of mischievous elegance reflecting the complex and very specific color palette of Tosta’s harmonic and compositional choices. The project is marked by some improvisational energy, cinematic depth, expansive jazz-inspired arrangements, and a compelling interplay between beauty and tension. Titanic crafts immersive, unclassifiable music that feels joyous and unrestrained.

Special guest is Polish composer Stefan Wesołowski.

Co-presented with Bird on the Wire.
Supported by d&b audiotechnik.
