PULSE
The [Un]event: Linn Phyllis Seeger
Institute of Contemporary Arts
Book tickets

This iteration of PULSE presents London-based artist Linn Phyllis Seeger’s three-channel moving image installation The (Un)event over two days. On the evening of 29th April, Seeger joins ICA Curator Hannah Geddes in conversation to explore how online media and short-form content shape and mediate experiences of personal and collective grief.

Assembled from iPhone-shot sound and video footage drawn from the artist’s personal archive, The (Un)event interrogates a persistent sense of being on the brink of disaster. Every day moments unfold in parallel: watching a sunset from a seaside balcony, playing video games, wandering New York City without a destination. Through these fragments, Seeger constructs a quietly disquieting portrait of contemporary life, in which unease and banality coexist, and movement does not necessarily lead to arrival.

PULSE is our platform for emerging interdisciplinary and collaborative practices, supporting artists to experiment with new ideas and forms.
